Responsible Gambling & Demo Notice
A real-money sportsbook is a regulated product. Before any version of this template could accept real bets, an operator would need the appropriate gambling licence(s) for each market, age and identity verification (KYC), anti-money-laundering checks, geolocation, secure payments and — most importantly — the responsible-gambling tools below. This page demonstrates those tools so the template is honest about what a production build requires.
The tools every real operator should provide
On a licensed site these controls actually enforce limits on your account. Here they are interactive demos so you can see how they’d look and feel.
Deposit limit
Cap how much you can add over a period.
Loss limit
Stop play once losses reach a level you choose.
Time-out
Take a short, fixed break from betting.
Reality check
Get a reminder of how long you’ve been playing.
Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion blocks access to your account for a chosen period (commonly 6 months to 5 years) and can’t be reversed early. On a licensed operator this is a binding, regulator-backed control.
Signs it might be a problem
- Betting more than you can comfortably afford to lose.
- Chasing losses, or betting to escape stress or low mood.
- Borrowing money, or hiding your betting from people close to you.
- Gambling getting in the way of work, study, sleep or relationships.
Where to get help
If gambling is causing you or someone you know harm, free and confidential support is available. Search for the national gambling-support helpline or service in your country — most offer 24/7 phone, live chat and self-help tools. In Chile and across Latin America, your local public-health line can also point you to support services.
